Danilda Osunfisan, SLPD-CCC of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, earned her bachelor’s degree in child development from Florida State University and her master’s degree in communication science disorders from Rockhurst University. Danilda completed her doctorate marking the final step in becoming the first student to complete the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) program at the University of Kansas. Her educational and clinical experiences advanced her understanding of the challenges associated with developing and implementing appropriate interventions for bilingual children, as well as finding ways to involve parents and other caregivers in the treatment process. She has years of clinical experience researching the challenges faced by children acquiring two languages. She plans to continue working with children and their caregivers by applying what she has learned.
When Danilda is not busy working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three beautiful children.
