Kate Reid, COTA/L, is a graduate from the class of 2013 Tidewater Community College Occupational Therapy Assistant program, where she received an Associates of Applied Science degree. Before starting the program, Kate worked for St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children as an Activities Assistant which sparked her interest in the Occupational Therapy field. She then graduated from the COTA program and continued to work in Virginia and California, providing Occupational Therapy services for various settings including outpatient clinics, the Suffolk Public School Systems and is now proud to say that she has joined the OT team with Children’s Therapy Concepts! Kate has experience implementing treatments of children with feeding problems, utilizing sensory integration, behavioral, developmental and applied behavioral analysis strategies for holistic and individualized treatments of each patient. Kate is mom to a “two going on twenty year old” and currently lives in the Chesapeake area.
